European Bowl Back Mandolin, Early 1900s  Bowl-back mandolin. Anonymous maker and unknown age in the 19th century style. Contains mother of pearl inlays, metal nuts (possibly pewter). The head stock is all original. The instrument boasts a decorative flower design inlay on the guard above the bridge. The mandolin is made of satinwood, pine, and rosewood with a brass end-pin.
