Although Jimmie Rodgers is regarded as the 'Father Of Country Music', his premature death at the age of 35 in 1933 meant that the banner he unfurled had to be waved by others, not least Ernest Tubb, and what a flag waver for Country music he proved to be, through fifty years until his death in 1984. Ernest compered the 'Midnight Jamboree' from his own record shop in Nashville. He also takes the vocal honors on six titles, and lets the likes of Hank Snow, Faron Young, Tex Ritter, Tex Williams and more share the rest, on 26 tracks in total.
